Nashville, Tennessee

Let’s take a trip to Nashville, Tennessee—also known as Music City! This lively destination has always been one of our favorite places to visit, not just for its legendary music scene but also for its shopping, dining, and family-friendly attractions. Every time we come to Nashville, we discover something new, and this trip was no exception.

Our first stop was Opry Mills Mall, Nashville’s most famous shopping destination. With a wide variety of clothing stores, entertainment options, and restaurants, it’s the kind of place you could spend the entire day exploring. We enjoyed walking around, doing a little window shopping, and even stopping to catch a movie. The theater was comfortable, the service was great, and it was the perfect way to relax after shopping. When it came time to eat, Johnny Rockets was our first choice. This retro-themed restaurant has always been a favorite of mine, and the Nashville location did not disappoint. From the upbeat atmosphere to the delicious burgers and fries, everything hit the spot. Later that evening, we dined at The Cheesecake Factory, where we sampled the Tex Mex Egg Rolls and enjoyed creamy Fettuccine Shrimp Alfredo. Of course, no trip to the Cheesecake Factory is complete without cheesecake, and it was every bit as rich and decadent as expected.

No trip to Nashville is complete without experiencing the Grand Ole Opry. Known as the home of country music, the Opry has hosted legendary artists for nearly 100 years. We were thrilled to see the famous stage where so many stars have performed, from Dolly Parton to Garth Brooks. Whether you attend a live show or take a backstage tour, the Opry gives you a true taste of Nashville’s musical heritage. Sitting in the audience and listening to incredible live performances was an unforgettable highlight of our trip.

The next day, we decided to see Nashville from a different perspective by hopping on the Nashville Trolley Tour. This was such a fun and easy way to explore without all the walking. Along the way, we stopped at Marathon Village, which is full of food, shopping, and history. We also passed through Centennial Park, home of the full-scale Parthenon replica, and The Gulch, one of Nashville’s trendiest neighborhoods. One landmark that really stood out to me was the AT&T Building, often nicknamed the “Batman Building” because of its unique shape. Standing tall against the Nashville skyline, it’s definitely one of the most recognizable buildings in the city.

On our last day, we made our way to Nashville Shores Lakeside Resort, a fun-filled waterpark perfect for families. From thrilling water slides to the relaxing lazy river and even a man-made beach, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The warm summer weather made it the perfect day to splash, float, and simply relax. It was a highlight of the trip and a must-do if you’re visiting during the hotter months. Before heading home, we returned to Opry Mills for some last-minute shopping and one more meal. This time, we tried the Rainforest Café, a restaurant that always makes dining an adventure with its jungle-themed décor and fun atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the service was just as great as the other locations we’ve visited.

Nashville truly lives up to its nickname as Music City. From shopping at Opry Mills and enjoying live shows at the Grand Ole Opry to exploring the city on a trolley tour, splashing at Nashville Shores, and dining at unique restaurants, this trip was full of unforgettable moments. If you’re planning your next getaway, give Nashville a try-you won’t be disappointed!
