Let’s take a trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina! This beautiful coastal city on the East Coast is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the United States—and for good reason. From sandy beaches and lively boardwalks to shopping, dining, and exciting live shows, Myrtle Beach offers something for everyone.
Naturally, the first stop for me was the beach. There’s nothing quite like feeling the sand between your toes and listening to the sound of the waves. What really amazed me, though, was the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. Stretching along the oceanfront, it’s filled with attractions like the SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, which gives you breathtaking views of the shoreline, and the Family Kingdom Amusement Park, a favorite for kids and adults alike. Whether you’re relaxing on the beach or enjoying the boardwalk’s energy, the oceanfront is the heart of Myrtle Beach.
Myrtle Beach is more than just the beach—it’s also a hub for live entertainment. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of shows, such as The Man of a Thousand Voices and Legends in Concert, where talented performers bring famous stars to life on stage. With so many performances happening throughout the city, there’s always a chance to catch a fun show after a day of sun and sand. Of course, no trip is complete without great food, and Myrtle Beach does not disappoint.
One of my favorite stops was Margaritaville, a lively spot known for its generous portions and tropical vibe. The food and drinks were fantastic, but take my advice—if you order the nachos, make sure you have someone to share them with! They were delicious but so big that I couldn’t even finish my dinner afterward. Seafood fans will fall in love with Myrtle Beach. We tried Bubba’s Fish Camp & Smokehouse, where the family meal came with flounder, catfish, shrimp, and three sides—plenty to satisfy everyone at the table. Another favorite was Hook & Barrel, where we enjoyed fresh peel-and-eat shrimp followed by a sweet pecan tart. The service was excellent, and it made the meal even more enjoyable. Honestly, the food scene in Myrtle Beach was a highlight of the trip and one of the reasons we’ll definitely return.
Before leaving, I couldn’t resist doing a little shopping. After all, no vacation is complete without it! We headed to the Tanger Outlet Mall, where you’ll find stores like Disney, Bath & Body Works, Coach, and Polo Ralph Lauren. The variety of shops makes it easy to find something for everyone. Plus, there are plenty of dining options inside the outlet, including Charleys Cheesesteaks, Five Guys, and Ben & Jerry’s—perfect for a quick bite while you shop.
Our trip to Myrtle Beach was everything we hoped for—relaxing, fun, and filled with unforgettable experiences. From the beach and boardwalk to live shows, shopping, and delicious meals, this city truly has it all. Whether you’re traveling as a family, a couple, or even solo, Myrtle Beach offers endless opportunities to create lasting memories.
