St. Louis, Missouri

Our trip to St. Louis, Missouri was exciting. Our stay here wasn’t long but, we made the best of our time while we were there. The only downside about the trip was that we didn’t stay as long as I would have liked. The city of St. Louis has a lot to offer. Visiting Six Flags Amusement Park was our motivation for this trip but, there are other places to visit and things to see in this great city like The St. Louis Zoo, The Gateway Arch, and The St. Louis’ Brewery.

We had the opportunity to experience some great food while we were there. Now I am very big on seafood and had to try Crabs Landing. This Cajun-style restaurant served seafood boils that were so good. Now if you don’t want to do seafood, they have other items that are on the menu that may work for you.

We had the opportunity to visit The Budweiser Brew House where you can experience a variety of beer flavors. The Budweiser Brew House has offered rotating beers on tap since 1876. The food here was awesome. You have your choice of handheld sandwiches, pasta, fish and chips, and so much more.

We also sat down for breakfast at Chris’s Pancake and Dining. Breakfast is also one of my favorite meals of the day. Here at Chris’s, we enjoyed the pancakes, eggs, and bacon. I would most definitely come back here again for the food and the service.

There was so much to do and see while we were here. We took the opportunity to have a fun filled day by visiting Six Flags Amusement Park. The park has been around since 1971. The park has numerous rides from the iconic The Boss, Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast, and The Batman Ride.  Please bring good walking shoes because you are going to need them if you plan on experiencing everything that the park has to offer like, Hurricane Harbor which is a water park located inside of the park.

Seeing The Gateway Arch was a part of this fun filled day. The Gateway Arch is one of the country’s tallest monuments. When you reach the top of the arch you will be able to see a beautiful view of downtown St. Louis, the Old Courthouse. On the west you can see the Mississippi River and to the east Illinois. This experience was so breathtaking.

Before leaving we took time to go to The St. Louis Zoo. I love visiting Zoos. The admission for entry inside of the zoo is free for everyone but the zoo offers paid attractions that you and your family may like to experience. Some examples of the paid attractions are a 4D Theater, Conservation Carousel, and a Sea Lion show. This zoo is a great way for people of all ages to learn about animals and their way of living. I’m so glad we didn’t leave without giving it a try.

Because my visit to St. Louis was short, I didn’t get a chance to see all this wonderful city has to offer but based on the experiences I had I would most definitely be back.
